Around Crestline, English Village and Mountain Brook Village, lots are established and shaded by big oaks, with Zoysia in the sun and fescue or St. Augustine under the trees. Farther out in Cherokee Bend, Brookwood Forest and Overton, lots are larger and wooded, with long driveways, natural areas and plenty of beds to keep clean.

Foundation plantings here are often mature azaleas, camellias, hollies and boxwoods. We trim each by its own calendar – azaleas just after they bloom, boxwoods in late spring and late summer – and refresh beds with long-leaf pine straw, the classic Mountain Brook look.
