In Alabama’s heat and humidity, weeds like nutsedge, crabgrass, chamberbitter and Virginia buttonweed can take over a bed in a couple of weeks. We pull them by hand – roots included – so they do not simply grow back from the crown a week later.

Keep them from coming back
Regular visits are the easiest way to keep beds clean – small weeds come out in seconds, big ones disturb the soil and spread seed. A fresh 2–3 inch layer of mulch or pine straw after weeding shades the soil and keeps many weed seeds from sprouting at all.
Please note: we remove weeds by hand and with hand tools. Herbicide applications require a licensed applicator in Alabama and are not part of this service.
